What Is the EIHA Quality Label?

The European Infrared Heating Alliance (EIHA) created the European Quality Label for Infrared Heating™ to provide clear, independently verified standards for electric infrared heating panels. The goal? To help professionals and consumers quickly identify products that meet strict technical and environmental benchmarks.

Developed with input from the Dutch organisation Stichting Binnenklimaattechniek and engineering consultants Peutz, the label is awarded only after extensive product testing and documentation review.

What is the certification criteria?

To be certified, panels must meet or exceed performance benchmarks across several areas:

Radiation efficiency ≥ 40%

According to IEC 60675-3, at least 40% of the energy used must be converted into genuine radiant heat - for efficient and comfortable heating.

Tested CE certification

The devices must be tested by independent institutes such as TÜV, VDE, or ÖVE in accordance with EN 60335 and other EU directives-for tested safety and quality.

Ongoing production control

An annual quality check by independent bodies ensures consistently high manufacturing quality throughout the entire production period.

Eco-design compliant

The device complies with the EU Eco-design Directive with a minimum efficiency of 38%-a sign of energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.
