Our client is really pleased with the infrared heating – the LAVA FRAME units look lovely and discreet, and they certainly work. We were all removing layers yesterday as they kicked out the heat!

Rising energy costs are driving businesses to seek smarter, more sustainable ways to reduce consumption without compromising comfort.
Offices alone account for 17% of the UK’s total energy use, and heating is the main contributor.
Why infrared heating is perfect for offices:
Every 1°C increase in heating can raise energy bills by around 8%. Infrared heat feels 2–3°C warmer than the air temperature, so you can lower your thermostat to 19°C and cut heating costs by up to 16%.
Infrared allows you to heat only the areas in use, ideal for desk spaces, meeting rooms or flexible work zones
Use low-energy personal desk heaters to save by lowering the office temperature without sacrificing comfort. With smart controls, set lower temperatures in less-used areas like corridors, storerooms, or active zones to save even more.
Wall-Mounted Infrared heating panels are ideal for small spaces providing direct warmth. Ceiling-Mounted Infrared heating panels are perfect for open-plan offices; discretely installed in ceiling grids. Suspended Infrared heating panels for high ceilings or large areas, can be hung directly over desks, delivering targeted warmth.
Infrared panels heat up in just 5 minutes, directly warming people and objects. The infrared energy is absorbed by the building structure and objects in the room and then slowly released into the room as heat. this warming process continues long after the heating has been switched off.
Infrared heating can use renewable energy and typically requires 60% less power than convection systems. A 400W infrared heater provides the same warmth as a 1000W convention heater, cutting your energy costs and carbon footprint.
Heat only the spaces in use. Employees can adjust temperatures for their comfort while reducing unnecessary heating in corridors, storage rooms or unoccupied desks.
Straightforward installation, minimal maintenance and a long service life makes infrared one of the lowest TCO heating solutions.
Gentle, sun-like warmth without dry air or cold drafts. Allergen-free heating with no air circulation means fewer allergens and dust, which is beneficial for people with allergies or respiratory issues. Silent operation ensures a peaceful working environment.
This depends on the insulation, the start temperature in the room and the temperatures of the particulate materials (e.g. walls and ceiling temperature). If you are in the radiation zone of the heater you will feel the warmth after a few minutes. However, if the particulate materials are cold (from heating system being off for a few days) and the people are not in the radiation zone, it will take a few hours to create a good comfort level in the office.
Yes.
Placing office furniture in front of the panel will reduce the effectiveness of the heating. In an ideal world they should be mounted at a low picture height. Remember panels can be either landscape, portrait or ceiling mounted which will give more flexibility when deciding where to put it.
The temperature for each room can be set individually so if it is too hot for a person the temperature can be reduced. The radiant heat that is emitted directly from the panel surface can only be felt up to approx. 1.5m from the surface. Beyond this, it is the gentle warmth of the infrared waves and the heat radiating from the rooms’ thermal mass which is felt.
LAVA Infrared heaters use solid state elements and, unlike fan-assisted electric heating or air-source heat pumps, have no moving parts. Therefore, there is nothing to go wrong or to service. All you need to do is keep them clean with a soft, dry cloth. Mounted as per the manufacturer's instructions these units will give you 20 years plus of non-degrading service.
